On Monday, the Lee Student Council took a field trip to the Central Texas Food Bank for a day of service. The student worked very hard sorting and cleaning various items. I think it was a great experience for the students and many of them expressed their desire to go back to volunteer another day! When we returned to school, we had lunch as a group and shared our thoughts about the day. It was wonderful to hear the students express how good it feels to help others. If you would like to support the Central Texas Food Bank, the link to their website is below. For every $10 donated, you can provide 80 meals this holiday season. https://www.centraltexasfoodbank.org/ Socktober was a success! The students donated over 370 socks. I am so impressed with the students at Lee. The Stuco members did a great job promoting the event with announcements and posters. Thank you!
Red Ribbon Week is half way over and it has been so much fun! Today was very entertaining seeing all the students with their crazy hair and hats. During guidance for the last two weeks, we have been discussing healthy choices. Here are a few pictures from the week so far.... Red Ribbon Week is next week at Lee! There will be dress up days and guidance lessons that focus on Red Ribbon Week.
